“Through my work in drug clinics and in particular, from work in an in-patient drug and alcohol detox unit, I recognised that a large number of people are seeking a spiritual route to recovery (especially via the 12-steps used by Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous).
I was also aware that many church groups are offering spiritual as well as practical support to people caught up in addictions. I, therefore, sought to facilitate the work of these groups by setting up a supportive service, which has become 'The KEYS Project'.
KEYS saved my life. If it wasn’t for this programme, I wouldn’t be married now, living in the community, I wouldn’t have a job. Everything I’ve got today is thanks to KEYS.
