CEO & Founder
Through my work in drug clinics and in particular, from work in an in-patient drug and alcohol detox unit, I recognised that a large number of people are seeking a spiritual route to recovery (especially via the 12-steps used by Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous).
I was also aware that many church groups are offering spiritual as well as practical support to people caught up in addictions. I, therefore, sought to facilitate the work of these groups by setting up a supportive service, which has become 'The KEYS Project'.
Chief Operating Officer
Laura’s career is defined by a lifelong dedication to social justice and the empowerment of marginalised communities. Bringing years of professional experience in supporting people through adversity, she provides the strategic oversight and operational heart that allows KEYS to flourish. Laura manages the intersections of finance, policy, and high-level client support with a focus on dignity and professional credibility. A practitioner as well as a leader, Laura also heads the KEYS Hailsham centre, where she continues to witness first hand the life-changing impact of compassionate, faith based recovery communities.
KEYS National Lead
Driven by his own journey of faith-filled recovery, Tom brings both deep personal heart, professional experience and extensive insight to the KEYS mission. He has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of our support, moving beyond direct client work to become a key architect of the KEYS Pathway materials.
Tom’s influence extends across the organisation as a mentor and trainer, where he equips volunteers with the tools and confidence necessary to support others toward true freedom. His work is defined by a commitment to seeing restoration in its fullest sense, combining the grit of lived experience with a strategic passion for developing resources that empower individuals to walk their own paths toward wholeness and addiction-free lives.
Medical Liaison and Operations Coordinator
Catriona plays a vital role in the heart of the KEYS Head Office. Working closely alongside Steve and Laura, she ensures the smooth delivery of our national operations while bringing her wealth of experience in social work to our medical liaison efforts. Her professional background provides her with a deep understanding of how to navigate complex systems to ensure clients receive the high-level support they need.
Beyond her work with the central team, Catriona carries a passion for Christian addiction recovery. This heart for transformation is seen in her dedicated support of her husband’s charity in the Scottish Highlands, a partner of KEYS, where she helps individuals find freedom from addiction in remote communities.
KEYS saved my life. If it wasn’t for this programme, I wouldn’t be married now, living in the community, I wouldn’t have a job. Everything I’ve got today is thanks to KEYS.
